Climate change to be taught at public schools in California?

A senator in California has put forward a bill that requires the topic “climate change” to be taught in Science classes at all public schools in the state.
Senator Joe Simitian said “This is a phenomenon of global importance and our kids ought to understand the science behind that phenomenon.”
